1.1 What is Shero?

The domain name www.sherohomefood.in (the “Platform”) is provided by Barottas Hospitality Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Shero”, “We”, “Our” or “Us”). The Platform is a marketplace for the sale and delivery of ready-to-eat meals, homemade products and related services (the “Services”) to end users (“User” or “You”).

For providing our Services, Shero hosts data and information. Shero will not review, share, distribute or reference any User data except as provided in this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, or as required by law. Individual records of User data may be viewed or accessed only for purposes of the Services, resolving support issues, investigating suspected violations, or as required by law. Shero uses all reasonable precautions for maintaining confidentiality of User data.

1.2 What is this Privacy Policy?

This Privacy Policy is published in compliance with:

  • Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000;
  • Regulation 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011; and
  • Regulation 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011.

This Policy states:

  • The type of information collected from Users;
  • The purposes, means and modes of usage of such information;
  • How and to whom Shero will disclose such information.

1.3 What is Personal Information?

“Personal Information” means any information about a natural person which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available with a body corporate, is capable of identifying such person.
“Sensitive Personal Data or Information” (“SPDI”) refers to personal information about a person relating to: passwords; financial information such as bank accounts, credit/debit cards; information received under a lawful contract; Guest/Partner details at registration; call and message data records. Publicly available information under Indian law does not count as SPDI.

2. Privacy Statements

2.1 Terms for all Users

These terms apply to all Guests and Users of the Platform.

By using the Platform and Services, you accept the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please stop using the Platform immediately.

Account creation: To access certain features, you must register and provide Personal Information. By providing such data you acknowledge that others (including Shero) may identify you. Shero may collect further optional information to customise your experience. Without your agreement, Shero will not share, rent or sell your Personal Information except as disclosed in this Policy. However, Shero may use aggregated/in-anonymised data for business intelligence, joint ventures, mergers or acquisitions.

User rights: You may withdraw consent or request correction/deletion of your data at any time (subject to legal/contractual obligations). To exercise these rights, email legal@shero.in. Shero may retain archival copies despite your update or deletion request.

Purpose of collection: Information may be used:

  • To provide Services;
  • For commercial uses in aggregated/non-identifiable format;
  • For research, statistical analysis and business intelligence;
  • To contact you for new services, feedback, or surveys;
  • To analyse software/app usage for improvement.

Automatic data collection: When you visit the Platform, Shero may receive your IP address, device/OS/browser type, URL of the sites you visited, ISP name. Shero may use cookies (non-SPDI) for technical administration, research or user management. Shero does not store personally identifiable information in cookies. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors (under 18).

Disclosure to third parties: Shero will not share personal information with government bodies unless required by law or to protect rights, prevent fraud or enforce terms. If you use third-party services or submit your information via third-party links, your data may be subject to that third-party’s policy and risk.

2.2 Registration and Data Collection

In connection with registration or use of Services, Shero may collect:

  • Name, email, phone number, delivery & billing address;
  • Profile details, age, gender (optional);
  • Payment details via third-party gateways (Shero does not retain raw card data);
  • Chef/Partner business information (for kitchen partners): FSSAI licence, bank account, tax details, kitchen operation data;
  • Usage data: order history, preferences, ratings, feedback, chats, calls;
  • Automatically: device identifiers, IP, browser, operating system, location (if enabled);
  • From third-parties: social logins, payment processors, analytics services, aggregators.

2.3 Use of Information

Shero may use your information to:

  • Provide, operate and improve Services, processing orders and payments;
  • Communicate with you about your account, orders, promotions and updates;
  • Enforce partner onboarding, compliance, quality/hygiene;
  • Personalise your experience, recommend products;
  • Detect, prevent and address fraud, security incidents or misuse;
  • Comply with legal/regulatory requirements or respond to lawful requests.

2.4 Disclosure & Sharing

We may share information with:

  • Affiliates or group companies;
  • Service providers (payment gateways, delivery/logistics partners, hosting/IT vendors);
  • Sales aggregator platforms (SAP) when you order through them;
  • Law enforcement/government/regulators if required;
  • In a business transfer (merger/acquisition) your data may be part of the assets transferred.

We do not sell your Personal Information to third-parties for marketing purposes without consent.
We may transfer aggregated or anonymised data.

2.5 Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your Personal Information;
  • Correct or update your details;
  • Delete your account (subject to legal/contractual restrictions);

2.6 Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies, web-beacons and similar technologies for device recognition, customising content, usage analytics and ad-tech. You may disable or restrict cookies, but some features may not function properly.

2.7 Security

We adopt reasonable administrative, technical and physical security measures to prevent unauthorised access, alteration or destruction of your information. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

2.8 Data Retention

We retain your Personal Information until it is no longer required for our legitimate business purposes, compliance, dispute resolution or enforcement of agreements. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

2.9 Children & Minors

Our Services are not intended for children under 18. If you are under 18, do not register or submit information without parental/guardian consent. If we become aware of data collected from a minor without parental consent, we will delete it.

2.10 Grievance Redressal

We have designated a Grievance Officer for data protection issues. You may contact us at legal@shero.in. We will respond to your grievance within 30 days of receipt, in accordance with applicable law and internal policy.

3. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Your use of the Platform indicates acceptance of this Privacy Policy. Shero may update this Policy periodically (for example due to changes in law or our Services). We will update the “Last Updated” date and notify you of significant changes via the Platform or email. If you continue using the Services after changes, you consent to the updated Policy.

4. Applicable Legal Compliance

This Policy is aligned with Indian laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and other applicable regulations.
